Space Planning and Management |
Manhattan’s Space Planning and Management applications are the best-in-class in the Facility Management market. Space plans for each floor of a building are created from the business unit requirements and translated to sf/sm requirements (demand) mapped to the existing space inventory (supply). Scenario plans can be created for the building level with the aid of the Stacking tool which can provide a planner with the ability to 'drag & drop' groups of proposed occupants from one floor to another to maximize productivity and utilization of space.
In addition, Manhattan has the ability to model flex space, identify the requirements to make the change, and compare the plan to existing space. This can all be done in a completely isolated environment so that there is no impact on current production data. Using simple CAD functionality, but not requiring AutoCAD, on a copy of the as-built drawings, the new flex workstations can be positioned and modeled. They can then be assigned a capacity which can then be compared to conventional space to identify the advantage from a consolidation standpoint. |
