AlzaChallenge: ALZA, a leader in drug delivery and drug targeting solutions and a fast-growing Johnson & Johnson company, faced difficulty in bringing on and ramping up new occupants because real estate, facilities and personnel information was segregated in multiple homegrown and departmental software systems that could not share information. The company was seeking an integrated platform to automate business processes and information for more than 1,000 employees and 1 million square feet of space in 20 buildings at its headquarters in Mountain View, CA.


Solution: Manhattan Software's CenterStone provides secure, centralized Web-based hub for managing space planning, projects, maintenance, leases, contracts, payments and chargebacks for corporate real estate, facilities, engineering, finance, human resources and other groups; integrated with multiple business applications (Remedy, Ariba, Maximo, Documentum) and AutoCAD.
